Now that we are back home in dear old Maryborough, I thought it time to express my sheer delight in the flight that I had on 16 Sep.  I have already watched the record of the flight quite a few times and no doubt will watch it many more times.   My only regret was that it was not longer, but it was sufficient to bring back many memories of many sorties in Macchi and dual Mirage aircraft during my service career.  My thanks to you, to Rod for his skillful handling and of course to Ellie for her strapper duties.

May you continue to bring joy to many others as you brought to this old bloke.

I wanted to say thank you so much to you, Rod and Elli for taking Aaron on his Jetfighter flight on Saturday 28th May. As you saw, he doesn’t say a lot, but he was absolutely ecstatic with the flight and now more than ever he wants to get into the RAAF!!  And I am dreaming about Rod’s “man shed” and all the big toys inside. I told Marion about the Cobra that was in the back room and she was really crook that she didn’t see it – she’s a bit of a petrol head.

Anyway, thanks again for taking Aaron on his flight. He is one happy, happy kid with a huge goal in life to make it in the RAAF.

The DVD is great, Arth really enjoyed reliving the experience again. Thank you for all you did for us, it was definitely a great experience for Arthur, he hasn’t stopped talking about it and is wanting to do it again. It was definitely worth the trip to Port Macquarie as well, you and Rod were great and made the experience even better being such lovely people, I think Arth could have stayed and chatted with Rod all week.

Thanks – we have the DVD – it’s very good.

The way you’ve cut in the aircraft shots with the in-cockpit footage is brilliant.

You get to see the fantastic view I had, along with how that relates to the actual manoeuvre Rod is flying at the time. Took me straight back to the flight…still got the grin.

Nicole had a good laugh at my various facial expressions (engineers can’t help looking at control panels) and we both agree it was well worth it. The backing music is also very appropriate. I am glad you made the call to go early – the view was clear and it truly was a fantastic day.

Thank so much for the video of Martins Jet flight. How awesome… the views were amazing. Martin had the best time ever. Thanks so much for making it a special day for him. It is something he has always wanted to do, only problem now is that he wants to do all over again.

Thanks also for taking care of the family while I was bouncing around in the sky, they thoroughly enjoyed it as well.

I have to give a nod and two thumbs up to Rod’s system of building up the manoeuvres and checking I was happy and ready for more. When he asked me at the end what word I would use to describe it I must admit I was speechless, it was that good…

The whole experience from beginning to end was brilliant and hopefully we’ll be back in the future for another Jetfighter flight.

The DVD arrived – Dad watched it Wed night as soon as it arrived.
I watched it last night with Dad & Mum.

Wow – the DVD was fantastic! What a great job! It really gave me a much better idea of what it is like up there. The crystal clean canopy and perfect weather – certainly made for excellent video footage – doesn’t Port Macquarie look gorgeous from the air and water so crystal clear!

It was so good to see Dad’s facial expressions and how much he enjoyed himself – the sky and view circling past the eye – it really was a smooth flight – very, very COOL! Dad is still smiling and happy from our weekend adventure.

Waahoo,,,,,the DVD arrived this morning,,,what a thrill, to think that I actually flew in this wonderfull aircraft, I am truly blessed. Once again, my heartfelt thanks to you and Rod for all your help and understanding to make the experience of a lifetime come into being once again.

I have been asked to do a few showings at a couple of the aero clubs that I am associated with so my enjoyment will be shared with others.

Is it possible to send me over a few more of your brochures as the four that I took with me are all gone.

Also if you find a IFFC logo let me know how much as I would like to have it on my flight suit.

Dont forget to touch base if you are ever in the north island,,,,,,
